About Jan Veizer

Jan Veizer is a distinguished professor emeritus of geology at the University of Ottawa, where he held the NSERC/Noranda/CIAR Research Chair in Earth Systems. He also chaired sedimentary and isotope geology at Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany, and is known for research linking cosmic rays and climate variability over geological.
