Biography

About Syun Akasofu

Syun-Ichi Akasofu is professor of physics and director emeritus of the University of Alaska, having directed the International Arctic Research Center from 1999 to 2007. An expert on the aurora borealis honored by the Emperor of Japan, he has authored over 550 journal articles and 10 books.
