Arthur Viterito, Ph.D. is a retired professor of physical geography who taught at the College of Southern Maryland, George Washington University, and University of Pittsburgh. His recent research demonstrates a strong relationship between mid-ocean seismic activity, a proxy for global geothermal flux, and critical climate parameters including lower troposphere temperatures, sea surface temperatures, and Arctic sea ice.
