Peter Ridd is a former Professor and Head of Physics (2009-2016) at James Cook University, Townsville, Australia. His consultancy work led to specialist instrumentation for measuring water quality, funding student scholarships. He has published more than 100 papers in international science journals and his most recent book is Reef Heresy? Science, Research and the Great Barrier Reef (2020).
